Breckenridge Colorado has some great skiing because the mountains are serviced by a free bus ride to each of the bases.

There are resorts that sit at the foot of the best ski hills in Colorado, you can basically wake up and walk to the ski lifts. Depending on what kind of lodging you need there are price ranges to meet anybody's budget.

The average population of Breckenridge is two thousand people, when the winter snow hits it peaks for a while and then goes back to its quaint existence.

Summit County has Frisco, Silverthorne, and Dillon, towns that are right together and with an easy roadway connecting them you can visit each town and ski their local trails to see which one you like the best.

Since there are a lot of choices when it comes to Colorado ski areas, you should take a little bit of time to determine the drive distance and what you want to do once you arrive. Some of the towns shut down pretty early so night skiing is not something that is encouraged.

One of the best areas for skiing is in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.

Nestled in the mountains between two smaller towns Steamboat Springs is very laid back and when the first snowflakes hit the ground in October this little town turns into a welcomed haven for those who don't want to hassle with the more commercialized slopes.

Steamboat Ski Resort has the Mavericks Superpipe for snowboarding and skiing. With all the choices and the hint of a vacation that will get the kids and teens excited, you owe it to yourself to enjoy your few weeks away from work and create some lasting Colorado family ski vacation memories.
