Golf in the Bahamas?

If you have never been to the Bahamas Islands, then you are missing out on a tropical paradise.

For those that are golfers, there is nothing more fun than playing golf in the Bahamas on the beautiful, lushly manicured golf courses, some which overlook the ocean.

For a family, learning to play golf can be fun for all ages. Just because you haven't played golf before is no reason to be intimidated.

Imagine sand and water hazards that are the beach and the Atlantic Ocean! Playing golf in the Bahamas can truely be a dream come true for you and your family.

There are not many places in the world that offer the kind of challenge you will find on the golf courses of the Bahamas Islands. Of course, there are courses that are not so challenging that they aren't suitable for all skill levels.

Some of the championship players like Jack Nicklaus and Gary Player praise the courses for the panoramic views that are great enough to take your mind off of the game. One of the courses has six oceanfront holes.

The best family golf vacation will be perfect with hotels that offer golf packages which include a discounted room and golf course fees.

Many times these packages are good for up to 4 people per room and it is a great value for a Bahamas family vacation.

Most of the larger resorts are in close proximity to the golf courses that are on the oceanfront, so a golf package is a great way to get the best accommodations and golfing available.

Most of them run shuttles to the golf courses, if they are further than walking distance. Golf and tennis are a big draw year round on a Bahamas vacation.

Of course, there are other things you can do such as enjoy the white sand beaches, gentle ocean waves and breezes, or take a glass bottom boat ride to see the beautiful corral reefs and tropical sea-life. It will definitely be one of your most memorable family beach vacations ever!

You can visit the marketplaces, shops and authentic restaurants that offer the national food, conch.

You have to try the conch fritters, although you can get the fritters or try fried or cerviche conch at all of the resorts.

One thing is certain, once you have a family golf outing in the Bahamas, it will be a hard vacation to top!
