Great Maui family vacation
|
|||||
How about a Maui Family Vacation this year? For a taste of tropical life combined with a strong sense of ohana, there is no better place than Maui. Infact it is one of the best US family vacation ideas. With its year-round sunshine, black sandy beaches, pristine waters teeming with marine life, and spectacular volcanoes, you and your family can truly have a Maui family vacation away from the hustle and bustle of city life as well as the distractions of digital technology.
When to Go Of course, your family will enjoy going to Maui anytime of the year although there are advantages to going in specific times. Peak tourist season is from December to September, with a mix of singles, groups and families enjoying the sun, sand, sea and surf. The low season, which runs from October to November, is best for families who desire smaller crowds, lower costs and milder weather. Where to Go Maui is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands. As such, there are many places your family can visit, enjoy the scenery and absorb the local culture. However, there are major tourist attractions that are musts on your Maui family vacation itinerary. First, cruise the 55-mile Hana Highway that runs along Maui's east coast. You will be amazed at the spectacular scenery of spectacular mountains, black sand beaches, waterfalls and native flora and fauna. And of course, don't forget to see the Seven Sacred Pools! Second, enter the Haleaka National Park and the dormant Haleaka volcano. You might just get lucky and see the endangered species that live inside the national park, which is said to be more in number than in any other park in the United States.
Or better yet, go to the wharf and book a serene sunset cruise or an exciting whale watching journey on your Maui family vacation. Fourth, savor the beauty and serenity of the Wailea Beach. With its unique intermingling of fine sand with black lava formation, you will enjoy various beach activities ranging from swimming to snorkeling for a great family beach vacation in Maui. Fifth, learn about Maui's history and the Hawaiian culture through the years via its historical places. You must visit Alexander and Baldwin Sugar Museum, Whalers Village, Whaling Museum , Halekii-Pihana State Monuments, Iao Valley State Park, and the Olowalu Petroglyphs. Indeed, Maui may just be an island but it is an island paradise filled with modern-day conveniences, natural beauty and exciting activities.
What to Do And speaking of exciting activities, Maui offers many options for families on vacation whether it's just for mom and dad, just for the kids, or for the whole family. You can book activity cruises where fishing, whale watching, sightseeing and snorkeling activities are on the menu. Of course, you can just go swimming, sunbathing and seashell collecting on the pristine beaches of Maui. Or you can participate in a fire dance, go on the Haleakala Crater Tour, hike through the rainforests, engage in a round of golf, and enjoy the various festivals (i.e., Ocean Arts, Whale Day, Dragon Boat) that seem to happen the whole year-round in Maui. Great Maui family vacation ideas! Truly, your family will love spending their vacations in Maui! Just make sure that you have something to entice them to go home because Maui can and will weave an enchanting spell on its visitors, you included. Your family vacations on Maui will be a great hit!
